: - left/right fender (repair dent & paint) : they initially told me $600 to get all this done. when i called to get a status update, they tell me it can't be done for less than $900. WTF?! a $300 increase?! is this normal practice for a bodyshop to do...or am i just getting ripped off? i think there's a lot of work involved fitting the front bumper in terms of shaving, aligning, maybe even fabricating something for different bolt positions, etc. i've taken my z there before and they do quality work though. someone tell me if i should be okay with this price hike or not. thanks. New York is expensive! Their initial price estimate probably didn't take into account that the pieces they are installing are aftermarket (not OEM fit & finish), so it'll take them longer to work on the Wings WEst stuff. It'd cost around $650-700 down here in PA, but cost of living is about 20-25% less here than in New York.
